Tiffany Morris

Tiffany Morris is an emerging writer and practicing witch from Nova Scotia. Her poetry, horror fiction, and creative nonfiction have appeared in anthologies and online, including Siren’s Call eZine and Hocus Pocus & Co.’s Halloween Night anthology. A sucker for folklore, Gothic romanticism and all things 90s, her current projects include Athame, a YA novel about punk rock, witchcraft, and ghosts in rural Canada.

Wax & Wane: The Hedge

What is your story about?
My story is about Rosemary, a hedgewitch, who can see between this world and others. She does a lot of spirit work and must deal with a mysterious, mischievous child ghost that follows her home from one of her sessions.

What do you like most about witches?
The diversity of witches and witchcraft traditions! From the pagan and Wiccan witches to other specific cultural/familial lineages, witches and witchcraft are rooted in such fantastic (and fantastical) traditions and lore.

Who is your favorite fictional or legendary witch, and why?
Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter – I, too, love a bold sartorial choice and cryptozoology.

Would you rather be a good witch or a wicked witch? Why?
I’m a good witch! “An’ if it harm none, do as ye will” is from the Wiccan rede, and it’s a good life philosophy for me. There’s a lot of freedom in it.

What’s up next for you?
More writing and witching, including a piece in an ebook series from Insolitus Publishing in October 2016! Be sure to keep up with me at http://tiffmorris.com.
