Wax & Wane: The Bone of Magic

What is your story about?
My story is about a Scandinavian Witch, Helga Brunhild.  who obtains a familiar to do her bidding. She lives in a time when Witches were put on trial for practicing magic.

What do you like most about witches?

Well, I am Witch myself and it is very empowering. I believe magic is real and that you can create positive change by using magic.

Who is your favorite fictional or legendary witch, and why?

My favorite Witch is Laurie Cabot because she is such an iconic Witch. She lives in Salem and began the whole Witch movement in the 70s and is still going. She is in her 80s and published two books. She inspires me because she still wears cloaks, still practices magic and acts as an example of what Witches should be.

Would you rather be a good witch or a wicked witch? Why?

I am a bit of both. “Witchcraft is neither black nor white. It’s both because nature is both, loving and cruel, all at the same time.” The Craft.

What’s up next for you?

Witches and Pagans magazine is publishing a poem of mine in their Winter issue and Eternal Haunted Summer is doing the same. I hope to complete revisions of my paranormal novel soon and look forward to new writing opportunities in the new year.
