Jeff is a professional engineer enjoying life in sunny California, USA. He has a long history of technical writing, which oddly enough, often reads like pure fiction. He was inspired to write by two wonderful teachers: William Forstchen and Gary Braver.

Jeff got his first break with SNM Horror Magazine. SNM published his book of short stories titled Algorithm of Nightmares and also featured his stories in the SNM Bonded by Blood IV and V anthologies.

He is also published in The Horror Zine and Dark Gothic Resurrected Magazine, and the Chilling Ghost Short Stories, The Moving Finger Writes and Golden Prose & Poetry anthologies.

What is your story about?
It’s a modern day spin on Hansel and Gretel and… something else.

What do you like most about witches?

Witches have an attuned connection with the world around them. I like to imagine what it would be like to see beyond the veil of illusion that obscures our lives. Witches also know themselves. Think about it, with that kind of insight… you could do anything you set your mind to, better than you could ever imagine.

Who is your favorite fictional or legendary witch, and why?

I like the Wicked Witch of the West from the book Wicked. Her story reminds me that appearances can be deceiving and how, even with the best of intentions, we can still be misunderstood and despised.

Would you rather be a good witch or a wicked witch? Why?

I’d like to be a good witch, humble, wise and caring, but, sadly, the uncertainties of life’s dramas can often blur the line between good and evil over time and circumstances.

What’s up next for you?

I’m always writing. I’ll continue developing my skills and pursuing new short story markets to help me learn. I’ve begun an adventure into the world of novel writing – it’s certainly a challenge.
