The Asterisk Anthology: Volume 2

“The Ring”

1. What was your least-favorite food as a child? As an adult? What didn’t you like about it?

At any age, the answer is broccoli, specifically the top parts. Food should not be fuzzy.

2. Look around you: what nearby object do you think would be a good cursed thing, and why?

A cursed pair of eyeglasses might be interesting. I imagine them making objects appear slightly closer or farther away than they actually are—the top step of a tall flight of stairs, for instance…

3. You randomly come across a Tarot deck of uncertain origin: what do you do with it?

Check to see if they spelled it “Judgment” or “Judgement.” (What can I say, I’m obsessed with words.)

Covering three specific horror-related themes: Southern Gothic, Cursed Things, and Creature Feature, The Asterisk Anthology: Volume 2, brings readers nine extraordinary tales from talented authors of weird fiction, winners of the Nosetouch Press 2018 Asterisk Anthology Contest.
